Access to services and rights

Increased commitment to social development implies increased social spending in areas such as health, education etc,  in order to meet the  Millennium Development Goals. Political liberalisation processes in many countries in the world have provided greater spaces for civil society organisations to advocate for effective social policies and legislation in order to meet the needs of the poor and the disadvantaged.

Since 2002 Triple Line has been managing DFID’s Civil Society Challenge Fund. Triple Line  has developed its knowledge on rights based interventions, in particular on how to link rights to access to services. Moreover, it has provided technical support on civil and political rights, facilitating seminars and undertaking studies and reviews on human rights for donors and other organisations.
