The provision of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) expertise is a core, and well-established service provided by Triple Line. We aim to apply a participatory approach to our monitoring and evaluation services. This is achieved by:
- developing simple quantitative and qualitative indicators for measuring change;
- engaging with all key stakeholders when undertaking monitoring and evaluation activities, and
- working with stakeholders in the design and establishment of monitoring and evaluation systems for others to implement, and providing training in their use.
Effective monitoring and evaluation is a core component of successful planning and management, but applying it well to different strategies, programmes or institutions is a challenge. Many donor agencies and other development finance institutions are increasingly recognising the importance of not only conducting M&E as a central element of their assistance, but also ensuring that M&E systems are left behind at the end of the assistance for the recipients to implement .
Triple Line has completed over 70 monitoring and evaluation assignments for donors, international financing institutions, civil society organisations and the private sector.
