Rising food prices, concerns over global climate change and energy supplies, and new interest in the potential of bio-fuels have led to a new era of challenges and opportunities for agricultural research. Strengthening the creation and uptake of new knowledge on agricultural science, but also the enabling environment for research uptake and use, is essential to meet these new and multifaceted challenges.
TLC has designed support to agricultural research organisations in Africa, and provided support to agricultural research networks and partnerships in Europe and overseas, with the aim of improving their relevance and effectiveness, and to ensure that the priorities and actions of donors are better coordinated and harmonised.
