Research findings have to feed into policy and practice in order to make a tangible difference. For this to happen, research outcomes need to be tailored to the needs of intermediate and end users, and disseminated through channels appropriate for different target groups. Both policy makers and practitioners need to be empowered and supported in demanding relevant lessons, practices and evidence to inform their decision making processes. All these processes require expertise in communications and knowledge management.
Triple Line has supported donors and international development agencies in reviewing research communication programmes and strategies, in designing new initiatives aimed at improving the uptake and use of research findings, and at improving rural advisory services.
