Research Associate

Julian is a Research Associate who works with the Governance, Climate Change, Urban, and Social Empowerment teams to support the bid process and the production of deliverables. He has previously produced background political economy analyses for the DFID-funded CIG Myanmar, SPACE, and EARF Urbanisation programmes, contributed to the AECF Gender Review, developed a strategy to combat free speech restrictions for the LHRC in Tanzania, conducted a financial evaluation of the Rainforest Foundation’s real-time forest monitoring systems in three West/Central African countries, and supported the creation of our IMDP proposal. 

 

Julian has previously worked in research roles in academic and non-academic contexts and has written a number of comment and opinion pieces for publication. He has a BA in Philosophy from University College London and is currently completing an MPhilStud research masters in Philosophy from King’s College London with specialisms in contemporary feminist theory, critical race theory, epistemology, Kant, Marxism, poststructuralism, critical theory, political philosophy, and social theory.
