The mission of the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services is to provide advocacy and leadership on pluralistic, demand-driven rural advisory services. GFRAS does this in the context of the global development agenda, with a goal of promoting sustainable growth and reducing poverty. The GFRAS inception period began in January 2010, and one of the outcomes is to develop strategy and a five-year operational plan.

Services provided

Triple Line wrote a synthesis report for GFRAS, including a detailed stakeholder analysis of rural advisory services worldwide. Triple Line also facilitated GFRAS’ long-term strategy working group meeting in September 2010. GFRAS intends to subject the report to stakeholder validation, before finalising it.

Achievements

The synthesis report is used by GFRAS to inform their strategy development and identify potential partners.
