Client: FARA
Country: Ghana
Year:2008
A round table discussion between FARA (the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa) and AFAAS (African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services) was held in FARA Secretariat, Accra, in January 2008. The objectives of the meeting were to arrive at a consensus on
- how FARA, AFAAS and other continental bodies that contribute to FAAP (the Framework for African Agricultural Productivity) relate to each other,
- what the contribution of AFAAS to FAAP should be, and appropriate institutional arrangements for this, and
- current strategic orientation of AFAAS.
Services provided
Triple Line facilitated the workshop, as we had previous experience in working with both organisations. The facilitator contributed to the preparation of the meeting and produced a report.
Achievements
The meeting resulted in consensus on all key issues, and enabled the two organisations to develop Memoranda of Understanding for future collaboration.
